UK Special Representative visits CTSAMM MVT in Bentiu

On 17th August the UK Special Representative to Sudan and South Sudan, Chris Trott, visited the CTSAMM Monitoring and Verifications Team in Bentiu. The team in Bentiu met the Special Representative on arrival at the airport and then travelled to the UNMISS Bentiu base where they briefed him on their activities. The briefing covered a wide range of topics including conflict dynamics in the area and the challenges the team faces in executing their mandate. The Special Representative thanked the team for facilitating his visit and impressed upon them the important role they play in the peace process; he said the CTSAMM is a critical institution of the Peace Agreement.
