Reporting on gender dimensions

On 21st September 2017, CTSAMM conducted training for its staff on the integration of gender dimensions within South Sudan in the Monitoring, Verification and Reporting (MVR) process. As stipulated in Chapter II article 1.7 of the ARCSS, CTSAMM is mandated to monitor, verify and report on the compliance of the Permanent Ceasefire agreement with focus on gender, including violations against women and children. CTSAMM staff appreciated the training and remarked on the relevance of gender mainstreaming in the MVR process. The importance of such trainings on disaggregating and tallying gender-based concrete data is believed to eventually help the peace signatories and all partners implement the agreements fully and comprehensively.
