    Yei Town, 1 November, 2018, CTSAMVM Technical Committee members and International Observers visited Yei Town and Panyume to assess the implementation of the ceasefire in the area. The team was comprised of representatives from SSOA, SPLA/IO, SSPDF as well as the CTSAMVM Sector Coordinator and International Observers.     IDPs in Malakal PoC benefit from CTSAMVM’s community engagement workshop

    28 Internally displaced persons (IDPs) sheltered at the POC site in Malakal took part in the workshop aimed at increasing public awareness on the ongoing peace process. The participants were drawn from community representatives, members of security committee, women, youth and POC sector leaders. Presentations and deliberations were made on the various peace agreements, the mandate and role of CTSAMVM, sexual and gender based violence, among others. The participants thanked CTSAMVM for organising the workshop and requested for more such discussions.     On 14th August the Juba Monitoring and Verification Team concluded a two day training on Gender Sensitivity. The training was organized to enable the MTVs to monitor, verify and report on the compliance of the Permaenet Ceasefire agreement with major focus on gender, including reporting on violations against women and children as per article 1.7 of the Agreement on the Resolution of the Conflict in South Sudan.
