Delegation from Sweden visit CTSAMM to discuss reporting on Sexual Gender Based Violence (SGBV) and the inclusion of women in the peace process

10 April, 2018, A delegation from the Swedish foreign ministry visited CTSAMM offices to discuss reporting of SGBV and the role of women in the South Sudan peace process. The delegation was met by the CTSAMM Chief of Staff and the CTSAMM Gender Advisor. CTSAMM gave a briefing to the delegation on how cases of SGBV are handled and how the organisation hopes to expand reporting on these issue in the future. The delegation thanked CTSAMM for the updates and commended the work CTSAMM does in bringing the issue of SGBV to the fore of the peace process. Among the team was Mr. Gustaf Solomonsson from the African Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs specializing in the Horn of Africa, Ms. Lotta Segerstrom from the Department for UN Policy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Hanna Carlsson, First Secretary, at the Swedish Embassy in Juba.
