CTSAMM Team Leader’s Workshop

On the 28th of October 2017, CTSAMM concluded four day training in Juba for its Monitoring and Verification Team Leaders on the general security situation in South Sudan, status of the PCTSA, execution of team activities as well as monitoring and reporting on violations as per CTSAMM’s mandate, among others.

The JMEC Chief of Staff, Ambassador Berhanu Kebede was a guest speaker at the training workshop; and he spoke about the IGAD led revitalization process of the Agreement on the Resolution of the Conflict in South Sudan (ARCSS).  He noted the challenges they have faced so far, and appreciated the monitors for the roles they play in monitoring, verification and reporting of violations of the PCTSA.


During the certificate award ceremony, EU Ambassador to South Sudan, Stefano De-Leo remarked on the importance of MVTs in gathering firsthand information regarding their experiences in the mission and thanked them for their contributions to the Peace Agreement.
