On Monday 30th October 2017, the Ceasefire and Transitional Security Monitoring Mechanism in continuation of the 14th CTSAMM Board Meeting held a members meeting in Juba. This meeting was held in request by the Parties to the ARCSS for time to review and comment on the reports CTSAMM presented to its members on 24th October 2017.
The meeting was attended by representatives from the warring Parties, Civil Society Organizations, the African Union (AU), China, the Troika (The United States United Kingdom and Norway, the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS), the European Union (EU) and the IGAD Partners Forum.
Discussions focused on the most recent alleged violations of the Permanent Ceasefire and Transitional Security Arrangements in Upper Nile, specifically Pagak, northern Jonglei in Waat, and skirmishes in southern Unity in the Leer area.
After the discussions, the Chairman requested the CTSAMM Board Members to submit written comments on the violation reports before they are published.
